We stopped over to check on the tools during the show and spend some time with Tyler Bonde who tooled up the entire job. Tyler has been following us on Instagram for a while and he reached out to us to help show off the capabilities on the Matsuura MX850 5 axis VMC during the IMTS 2016 show. Give him a follow @tcb1228 on Instagram! In the video, Tyler explains how he is using the Diamondback rougher that not only cuts down his cycle time, when compared to insert style end mills, but also how the tools generate a manageable chip size that doesn't clog op his chip augers. We're planning on showing off the finished part at the PRI Trade Show (Performance Racing Industry) in December 2016. |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMay 18, 2016 ― MachiningCloud, an Industry 4.0 solution provider helping customers make better tooling decisions, is proud to announce the immediate availability of Destiny Tool, a supplier of high performance end mills for use in non-ferrous and high temperature alloys, on the MachiningCloud App. Destiny Tool’s customers can now find Destiny’s product data on MachiningCloud, eliminating the need to search through printed catalogs, telephone calls and multiple websites to find optimal tooling. By using ISO13399 and GTC, the Destiny Tool product data residing on MachiningCloud is also easily imported into any shop software supporting these standards. ISO 13399 is an international standard for the digital representation of cutting tool data. GTC (Generic Tool Catalog) is a complement to ISO 13399 for vendor neutral classification of cutting tools and data file structures. For cutting tool manufacturers who do not have an ISO/GTC catalog, MachiningCloud provides the service to map their data into the standards and publish it on the Cloud. In addition, any cutting tool catalog that is already in ISO/GTC format may be easily loaded onto MachiningCloud. As a result, in both cases, always up-to-date cutting tool product data is available to everyone. The result is significant time savings and optimal tooling choices for customers when searching, selecting and sharing cutting tools for jobs; and when building assemblies and exporting the tooling data to CAD/CAM, ERP and other shop software.
