Materials we machine at a high performance level

NonFerrous - We LOVE  aluminum! We've been roughing and finishing in non-ferrous materials for over 25 years! Our Viper and Diamondback are MADE for these materials!

Cast Iron- With the tremendous advances in CNC milling machines, software and controlled TIR in Toolholders companies can now really take advantage of our Python series end mills

Stainless Steel - We love Stainless Steel machining!  Yes, we love non ferrous, but Stainless Steel alloys are neck and neck as our favorite material to cut.  We've spent a great deal of time engineering our Raptor DVH and Raptor 3/6 just for this material

Steel - Just as with Cast Iron our Python series end mills have quickly become a top performer.  We've had some great feed back on these tools in many types of Steel. Our Raptor and Raptor 3/6 are also proving to be exceptional performers in this material group.

High Temp Alloys - Have you noticed a trend? We like soft gummy hard-to-machine materials. We specialize in it!  Our Raptor DVH and Raptor 3/6 tools are THE performance tool in the market. "Testing the capabilities of a 3 flute Diamondback serrated rougher endmill from Destiny Tool. This is our second test with the endmill and we have NOT YET MAXIMIZED THE TOOL NOR THE MACHINE. Instead we appear to have maxed out the workpiece...it started flexing like crazy once the bulk of the material had been removed removed (the base is only 0.175" thick).

We also made some features using other Destiny endmills, all 3 flute Viper stealth coated DVH. The stubby endmills could probably take a larger cut but the programmer didn't want to break them just to find out.

The machine is a 15 horsepower [sticker] Haas VF-2. We cannot push the machine any faster with this roughing setup, so we have to instead take bigger and bigger cuts in order to ping it. This workpiece's load never exceeded 40% except for the breakthroughs. How much faster will this tool go?
Our previous tests were with a 2 flute version of the same endmill, at similar speeds, but using a higher chipload. We are wondering if the 3 flute version needs more room to evacuate a giant 0.015" loaded chip....?"
